To do Young Bird; a native Cherokee, of the Cherokee Nation East, of A-mo-hee District , near Po-Ko-ee (?) – present residence on the water of the Illinois, near Cane Creek, Tahlequah District-

Spoliations occasioned by the operations of the United States Troops under the command of Genl. Scott, on or before the 23rd of May, 1838.

                To 7 acres cleared land estimated under good fence @ $20 per acre——– $140.00

                Personally appeared before us, “Young Bird” the above claimant, and deposeth & saith upon oath that through the arrest by the Troops of the United States aforesaid, he was deprived of the benefit and proceeds of seven acres of land, claimed & in (illegible)teration and that the above estimate is just & true: and also that he has never received anything for the same

                Personally came before us, “Young Bird”, the above claimant and deposeth & saith upon oath that some time in year of 1822, five white men (names unknown) citizens of the United States, came to his house, and drove off twenty head of hogs, some of them pork hogs, into the white settlement and that he never received any compensation for them from any person and he also declares that amount claimed  $90 to be just.

                Personally appeared before us, “Young Bird” Claimant & “Pigeon in the Water” as witness, who depose and say on oath that “Young Bird”, said claimant, had a horse taken from him by the whites, United States citizens, and that the said “Young Bird” raised the horse aforesaid & which was his property at the time and also that he said “Young Bird” had not bargained nor sold said horse to any person or persons and that the price fixed on the said horse is just
