To Alley, a native Cherokee, For property abandoned in the Eastern Nation on Candy’s Creek, near Hair Conrad’s residence, Bradley County Tennessee Emigrated in 1838 in James Brown’s Detachment, present residence on Green Leaf Creek, Illinois District—

Personally came before us, Alley, claimant of the above account & state on oath That the above property was abandoned by her, on the forced removal of the Cherokee by U. States in 1838–& she has never received any consideration for the same of the U. States or any other source whatever—

Personally came before us Akey, a native Cherokee & witness to the above account, & state on oath That she lived near the said Alley in the Eastern Nation and knew her to be in possession of the above named property previous to the forced removal of the Cherokees & that she abandoned the same without any consideration whatever
