The claimant in this case states on oath that he came to this country in the year 1829 from the Hightower River and now lives on Spring Creek. He states about three years before he came to this country, the horse charged in the account was stolen from out of his stable and that he followed him about 4 miles on the Georgia road, that he heard of him in Georgia afterwards but having no white witness to prove him by, he knew it was useless to go there in pursuit of him
